Feature Post: The Amateur-Photographer (danywithdragons)

A bit of natural talent can go a long way with some time and passion, as proven to me by one of the most random yet intelligent and original people I know (aka my sister). Today marks my very first feature post about the talents and inspriations that surround me from day to day and for this very special occasion, I would like to introduce you to the one and only danywithdragons, or as you may have guessed, my baby sister.
As merely a high school student, danywithdragons utilizes photography as a way of expression throughout her explorations and discoveries in this journey we call life. With her unique eye, danywithdragons captures not only a beautiful scenery, but maintains the sense of nostalgia, tranquility, and comfort in each photo, transporting viewers into another place and time. With each photo, the viewer can almost feel that light breeze or hear and feel the rattling on the train, and take a momentary time travel back to the good old times.
This self-proclaimed amateur-photographer has barely crossed the starting line. Who knows what she'll bring forth in the future?

"I got a new phone that had a really good camera and I began taking random pictures. This soon became a hobby because all of them would turn out really well. "
"Right now, it's just a small hobby. I don't see myself doing much with it, but who knows?"

"Lately, I've been interested in incorporating shapes and lines. If you look at my recent photos, you can see that there's often some sort of line running through."

"I don't like to brag, but I'm a pretty hard core Netflix binge-watcher."

A true one-of-a-kind.

There are days when it is just not my day. Today's that day.
I literally spent all morning lying down catching up on Vlogmas videos and then sitting down at the library reading document after document for my I could not have been more mute and yet I feel absolutely drained. And I had actually intended to write a few pages for my thesis but I have absolutely no motivation and ended up doing the "easy stuff" and just collected data.

On a brighter note, I finally got a haircut. My reason for liking to have shorter hair in the winter is quite simple: I hate having my hair get static-y after wrapping it around with my scarf. Japan has this wonderful opportunity to be a "Cut Model" and get a haircut for maybe a fourth or a fifth of the original price. Basically, trainees or assistants of the salons practice different styles on you and maybe snap a few before and after photos. Some people prefer to have their hair done by professionals but ho…

Hello again.
I'm alive and well and slightly busier/have more responsibility on my hands  since the last time that I posted. Let's just first begin by saying that I am officially a college graduate. Here's the cake and plate of gigantic Gyozas that I celebrated with:
大学を卒業しました。 台風直撃前で良かったです。 お祝い用のケーキと巨大餃子。

I'm starting my new job soon in Hakata, which is located in the Fukuoka prefecture.  I've moved into my new apartment, which I'm really loving but the last two months have just been such a whirlwind of prepping for graduation, moving, and getting things ready for my new job, that I'm just glad I can see finally start seeing an end to the commotion. Of course work is going to be a whole new journey but for the time being, I'm glad I have a roof over my head. My room has this loft and the stairs going up to it is basically a bunch of shelves. It's my bookshelf for now and it's looking pretty cool. I have a couple more books getting sent over an…
