Internship Week 2

Week 2 of my internship has flown by already and I cannot express how excited about this job. I am jumping out of bed everyday because I cannot go to work and I am learning so much everyday. I cannot talk about the where or what about my job it's in a field that I'm realizing is probably what is meant for me. I also have really ugly feet and terribly sore legs from walking around in heels all day.

I went Montmartre again. Days have been longer since the time change and it was bright outside even after 9pm.

Stopped by the Moulin Rouge just because I really wanted a photo of the building.

July 14th was Bastille Day, or the National Day in France. Something I probably love just as much as cheesecake is fireworks and I wanted to see it at the Champs de Mars, which is th park in front of the Eiffel Tower.
The crowd was huge even 2 hours before the show and I barely had space to breathe once it did start, but the show was absolutely fantastic with good music and amazing effects on the tower itself.

Went to Ladurée to treat myself to some Macarons. I think I got the Orange and Pistachio(?), both of which were cute pastel colors and very aromatic. They were almost too cute to eat but well, I ate 'em anyway.

There are days when it is just not my day. Today's that day.
I literally spent all morning lying down catching up on Vlogmas videos and then sitting down at the library reading document after document for my I could not have been more mute and yet I feel absolutely drained. And I had actually intended to write a few pages for my thesis but I have absolutely no motivation and ended up doing the "easy stuff" and just collected data.

On a brighter note, I finally got a haircut. My reason for liking to have shorter hair in the winter is quite simple: I hate having my hair get static-y after wrapping it around with my scarf. Japan has this wonderful opportunity to be a "Cut Model" and get a haircut for maybe a fourth or a fifth of the original price. Basically, trainees or assistants of the salons practice different styles on you and maybe snap a few before and after photos. Some people prefer to have their hair done by professionals but ho…

Hello again.
I'm alive and well and slightly busier/have more responsibility on my hands  since the last time that I posted. Let's just first begin by saying that I am officially a college graduate. Here's the cake and plate of gigantic Gyozas that I celebrated with:

I'm starting my new job soon in Hakata, which is located in the Fukuoka prefecture.  I've moved into my new apartment, which I'm really loving but the last two months have just been such a whirlwind of prepping for graduation, moving, and getting things ready for my new job, that I'm just glad I can see finally start seeing an end to the commotion. Of course work is going to be a whole new journey but for the time being, I'm glad I have a roof over my head. My room has this loft and the stairs going up to it is basically a bunch of shelves. It's my bookshelf for now and it's looking pretty cool. I have a couple more books getting sent over an…
